A view from Delaram Afghanistan

My dear brother is serving our country overseas and he emailed me these pictures the other day.

These were taken on his base way the heck up in the mountains somewhere in Afghanistan.


The mountain at night through night-vision goggles. I think that is fascinating and incredible! (Not to mention a great idea!)



There is our studly soldier in front of a MRAP that he was driving when it ran over a ied (improvised explosive device.) They were not hurt, thankfully, but it looks like the vehicle might need a little work! ;-)
