I just wanted to pop in and recommend one of the awesomest blogs EVER!!!

I know my blog used to be on the "Awesome blogs" list... But then I left home and left a fair amount of my "awesomeness" in Nebraska.

Thankfully though, my sister Emily, (who has rivaled me for awesomeness for y.e.a.r.s!) has started a family blog complete with pictures and commentary that is to die for (or die laughing because of)

Announcing...

"Abounding Blessings"

I was challenged last weekend to think of all the things I was grateful for, or blessings, or things that made me smile (smiling is something to be grateful for!) and make a list. I decided to take that idea and combine it with another idea I got a few months ago.
Someone sent me a link to this blog : "Yellow Shoe Day"
The lady who wrote it was using pictures and listing off things that she was happy/thankful for (I think?) Correct me if I am wrong...

Either way, I loved the idea and have decided to do something similar and combine it with the inspiration from last weekend.

I am going to make myself a challenge: 1000 things I am grateful for, blessings, smiles, ect and a picture to illustrate each.

As you probably noticed that little poll on the right side, I want your opinions as to where I should feature this new project. Should I put it on this blog and just weave my other posts in and out between them, or should I create another blog and have it over there?
Would you even read another blog? (Come on... no one wants to sit through two blogs by one person! ;-) Or do they? )

I think I have fallen in love....

His name is Solomon and he turns nine weeks old on Monday the 22nd.
I will be moving out to Washington state on the 9th of March to be his nanny for a little over three months.

It looks like I should have ample opportunity to expand my photography a bit while I am out there, and hopefully some of that will appear here!

You will never get tired of seeing that darling face; now will you! <3

Adventures

Greetings to all my faithful blog readers!

I hope this post finds you all warm and enjoying the family togetherness of the season. :)

God has been doing some exciting things in my life in the past few months and drawing together the strings of two dreams of mine.


Over a year ago I sat down with dad and made a list of the things I wanted to do with my life, near the top of that list was going on a short term missions trip. I started praying that God would open the doors and send an opportunity my way if it was His will for me. For about 6 months nothing happened until I read about an opportunity on the Rebelution Forum to go to Sinaloa Mexico and help put the roof on the Coult Family's house. Long story short I leave a week from today for almost two weeks in Mexico! God is so good! I have been continually awed at the precision of His ways and how He has brought every little detail together so perfectly!

Three days after I return home from Mexico (Jan 15th-16th) my church is hosting a Rebelution video conference of which I am the head coordinator. Ever since I got involved with the Rebelution in 2006 I have wanted to bring them to Omaha. When Dad and I went to their conference in Des Moines, IA the summer of 08 I was completely hooked! When Mr.Nelson asked me to coordinate the video conference at Millard Alliance Church I was excited and very nervous. Once again God took my original plan, tripled it, and then sent it far and wide. He provided willing volunteers and people to help me plan. ( I never knew how many details went into these things!)

By the way...there is still room to register for the conference and we would love to have you! It is $10 per person at the door and you can RSVP to: omaha2010rebelution@gmail.com . If you would like to come but cannot afford the fee just let us know and we are happy to offer assistance. :) (*shamless plug..I know I know*)


God has been so good to me this year and as it ends I am excited to see what lies beyond the sunrise!

No one freak out

I am working on launching the new look for my blog but I accidentally reverted the old look to the original. Gotta love the domesticated child trying to be a nerd.... :-\
I am sorry about the poll text; I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change the text color... so if you need to see what it says, highlight it ;-)

My goal here is to post one quote each day that was particularly excellent, witty, brilliant, or just plain amusing! Mainly I will be quoting family, but really, anything that I come across and is worth passing along could show up. ;-)

The quotes will appear on the top right of the page and eventually will have a link below where the archives are stored.

I am going to try to post one each day but don't get mad at me if I forget! Just look at it this way; if I do not post a quote it is because our day was very boring or VERY exciting. ;-)
