The silence on my blog is starting to concern me....
Have I scared you all away?
I haven't even posted my rock star picture yet.
Just a thought:-)
The silence on my blog is starting to concern me....

Just a thought:-)
I haven't a picture, I know it's a shame.... But.... Today is: *Drum roll please*
Alicia Nelson, soon to be Enquist's ,Birthday!:-)
Alicia, you have done so much in the life of an awkward, hurting teenager. Your calling me every Wednesday for months; you are like the only person who ever calls me, ever! Taking the time to listen to me; you let me call you on your family vacation, visiting Caleb, none the less! That is a real friend! You could have easily said 'no'; gas is so expensive, the time it would take ... but, you drove an Hour and a half just to help us sew the clothes for Aunt Anne's Wedding.
Thank you, Alicia, for giving to the Lord, I am a life that has been changed.
Alicia's birthday verse was so fitting...
" The Lord thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest" -Deuteronomy 15:18
Her wedding day's verse..."I know it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before Him" Ecclesiastes 8:12
Love you, Alicia!
Carry on in the service of the King!
Katie's second graduation was on Saturday. She and Jennifer, the other graduate, did a wonderful job, singing and playing the piano. It was lovely!
Since I did not say it then, I will say it now... "You ROCK, Katie!"
Two down one to go...
To all of the men and women who have given their lives for my freedom,
Thank you for sacrificing you own lives, so that I can live in a free and independent country. You answered the call of duty, and willingly paid the ultimate price a man could ever pay, his life. I don't know what else to say other than a these few simple words: "Thank you, I will do my level best in everything to keep this country a free land worth dying for."

"So I saw that there is nothing better for a man than to enjoy his work, because that is his lot. For who can bring him to see what will happen after him?
-Ecclesiastes 3:22"

Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the whole duty of man.
-Ecclesiastes 12:13 (NIV)

" Be not afraid, O wild animals,
for the open pastures are becoming green .
The trees are bearing their fruit;
the fig tree and the vine yield their riches. "
-Joel 2:22

Have you ever just stood in awe of God?
Friday was a particularly hard day; life was tough, it was rainy, and I was really tired! I went outside to do something and noticed that the sun was peeking out of the clouds as it set, it was still raining, and you all know that rain plus sun equals a rainbow. I took off running up the driveway to find it. I looked and looked until finally, lo and behold, there it was! I was most of the way up the driveway and the rainbow made a perfect arc over the house. I have never seen a rainbow so brilliant and full. Usually you can see most of the arc, but I could see the whole thing from pot of gold, to pot of gold! Not only was it brilliant and full, but it was a double, with one arc right above the other! I stood in awe. What else was I to do?!
I am sorry the second rainbow didn't show up in the picture...
A neighbor of ours recently pushed in a rather large grove on his property and offered us the firewood for free...well almost...he asked if we would go and pick up the leftover sticks in the area so he could farm it; a small price for all the firewood we got! Yesterday was the last of three afternoons that we worked on the project, our dear friend Katie Miller was with us and a crew packed in to the minivan to finish the job.
On the way there; too many goofs in one car!
Our crew heads out to play "pick up sticks":-)
Thank you Mr. Hensel!
We will be warm this winter!
"Each day of our lives we make deposits in the memory banks of our children." ~Charles R. Swindoll, The Strong Family
Happy Mothers day to all you moms out there! Thank you, Big Trina, Mrs. Nelson, Mrs. Grady, Mrs. Larsen, Mrs. Beasley,... and so many others out there for all you have done this past year, you listened, offered advice, let me cry, get mad, and often times just let me talk! We could not have made it thus far without the support of you and your families. I will be eternally grateful for the sacrifices you all have made on my behalf. You did not have to, but you did any way! Thank you!
Mom, Thank you for, up till this time last year, being the best mom a kid could ever ask for, You rocked! Thank you for the time you gave!

Maple seed pods or helicopters; right? A harmless little seed that flutters to the ground in late spring planting billions of tiny maple seeds, nothing else, entirely useless for those who do not want more maple trees...NO!
What you might not know is that these little seemingly harmless green things, that help save planet earth by reseeding maples, are a lethal weapon! Well, not really, the little balls on the end that contain the seed also contain a small amount of fluid, just enough that when squeezed one can squirt the seed and fluid on a unsuspecting victim. I am not sure how it started but someone was shot by them and an all out war began. The Wattermanns were here for church, thus they were a part of the fight also...
Michael and Trina duking it out.
Matthew may look innocent, but don't be deceived...
SEE!
Katie throwing clover at me... I know it has nothing to do with seed pods, but the action was too good!

A Farm boy eating his flap jacks...
Sharing secrets...
Smelling flowers...
Rejoicing for warm weather!
Riding horses...

And of course hugs...
This my friends is a spider killing kit.
I had a nightmarish experience today. I was reaching in the cupboard to get the Kitchen aid , and as I grabbed the front and back to pick it up a HUGE black spider ran out from underneath it and stood there about two feet from me. So I did what most girls would do; I screamed! Then realizing that there were no knights in shining armor or dirty jeans to save me, I called for Trina. She came to my rescue and we plotted our plan of action. Since I was stuck holding the Kitchen aid halfway out of the cupboard I sent her for a can of Raid. She came in with some stuff called "Hot Shot" in an aresol can. The back said that it killed spiders on contact so I held it above him and sprayed. He ran out of the cupboard (rather near my foot:-}) and took off, I sprayed him again, this time drowning him in a puddle of hot shot. He was staggering by this time so Trina took a flip flop and smacked him, that killed him on contact! Quite relieved I finished fishing out the kitchen aid, and did my cooking.
Never boring, never boring!
