Bye Bye!

Ever wonder what calf roping looked like in slow motion...

Step #1

Step #3 Caught!

We had a lovely time, and despite the lightening and severe thunder storm warnings, escaped without getting rained on!

Two bull riders were hurt during the evening. One walked away after a bit, but the other had to be taken to the ER in the Ambulance. His wife and Little Daughter were there watching and I am sure they would all appreciate your prayers.

Alicia

I haven't a picture, I know it's a shame.... But.... Today is: *Drum roll please*

Alicia Nelson, soon to be Enquist's ,Birthday!:-)

Alicia, you have done so much in the life of an awkward, hurting teenager. Your calling me every Wednesday for months; you are like the only person who ever calls me, ever! Taking the time to listen to me; you let me call you on your family vacation, visiting Caleb, none the less! That is a real friend! You could have easily said 'no'; gas is so expensive, the time it would take ... but, you drove an Hour and a half just to help us sew the clothes for Aunt Anne's Wedding.

Thank you, Alicia, for giving to the Lord, I am a life that has been changed.

Alicia's birthday verse was so fitting...

" The Lord thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest" -Deuteronomy 15:18

Her wedding day's verse..."I know it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before Him" Ecclesiastes 8:12

Love you, Alicia!

Carry on in the service of the King!

Memorial Day

To all of the men and women who have given their lives for my freedom,

Thank you for sacrificing you own lives, so that I can live in a free and independent country. You answered the call of duty, and willingly paid the ultimate price a man could ever pay, his life. I don't know what else to say other than a these few simple words: "Thank you, I will do my level best in everything to keep this country a free land worth dying for."

Awesome God

Have you ever just stood in awe of God?
Friday was a particularly hard day; life was tough, it was rainy, and I was really tired! I went outside to do something and noticed that the sun was peeking out of the clouds as it set, it was still raining, and you all know that rain plus sun equals a rainbow. I took off running up the driveway to find it. I looked and looked until finally, lo and behold, there it was! I was most of the way up the driveway and the rainbow made a perfect arc over the house. I have never seen a rainbow so brilliant and full. Usually you can see most of the arc, but I could see the whole thing from pot of gold, to pot of gold! Not only was it brilliant and full, but it was a double, with one arc right above the other! I stood in awe. What else was I to do?!

I am sorry the second rainbow didn't show up in the picture...

Sticks

>> Saturday, May 17, 2008

A neighbor of ours recently pushed in a rather large grove on his property and offered us the firewood for free...well almost...he asked if we would go and pick up the leftover sticks in the area so he could farm it; a small price for all the firewood we got! Yesterday was the last of three afternoons that we worked on the project, our dear friend Katie Miller was with us and a crew packed in to the minivan to finish the job.

On the way there; too many goofs in one car!

Our crew heads out to play "pick up sticks":-)

Thank you Mr. Hensel!

We will be warm this winter!
